The Clouds He Walked Through
There are stretches when almost nothing registers. No goosebumps, no tears, not even a spark. You simply keep showing up because that is what remains.
On the mountain in Matthew 17 Jesus’ face shines like the sun. As He speaks with Moses and Elijah a bright cloud covers them. Glory is already there, even though the cross still waits ahead. Later He is taken up into another cloud and received into glory.
Death. Resurrection. Glory.
The same pattern shapes anyone who belongs to Him. You die to yourself, trust Him when the silence stretches long, and keep walking. You do it because you are already His, not because you are trying to earn a place.
He died. He lives. That is enough.
When you tell Him He can have everything, He does not leave you stranded in the hard places. He carries you through them. The old feelings may stay quiet for a while. That does not mean He has stopped. He is still at work, slowly shaping you to look more like Jesus.
This is simply how faith lives.
